Situated in the Sunny South East, Cairbre House is the perfect touring base for the many attractions along the South Coast. This is a listed historic house with a friendly old world atmosphere and all modern comforts. Family run and owned for over 100 years, we have a proud tradition of hospitality and catering for our guests needs.

 
 

 

Upon arrival you will be welcomed with refreshments. Afterwards, why not relax in the beautiful one acre waterfront gardens containing many rare and unusual plants. All of our spacious bedrooms are ensuite, a downstairs room is also available for people with limited mobility or for those who prefer a groundfloor bedroom. All bedrooms are furnished and decorated in period style and in-room facilities include TV, WiFi, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities

Cairbre House is renowned for the extensive gourmet breakfast menu which covers a range of home cooked dishes. All breakfasts feature fresh home grown garden and quality local produce.

 
 

 

Feel free to relax in our comfortable residents lounge with its open fire, providing a warm and cosy atmosphere. For outdoor enthusiasts there are numerous local amenities including Clonea Strand, a beautiful Blue Flag sandy beach and the Waterford Greenway - 46 km off-road cycling and walking trail; fishing, bird watching. Three magnificent 18 hole golf courses are also located within 5km. Watersports, woodland, river, cliff, hill walking and horse riding are available locally.

This beautiful Georgian house is located less than one km from the picturesque harbour of Dungarvan and Town Centre with its excellent shops, restaurants, traditional music and entertainment. It is situated in a peaceful scenic setting with direct access to the Colligan River Estuary and only a few hundred metres from the Waterford Greenway. Cruachán and the Comeragh Mountains provide the perfect backdrop.

Directions:
From Dublin: Take N7 /M7/M9/N25 Route to Waterford/Dungarvan.Unless you wish to go into Waterford City, remain on N25 bypass via Toll Bridge ( Euro 1.90). As you approach Dungarvan on N25 you will come to a roundabout (Coolagh Rd Roundabout) remain on N25 - do not go into town centre, at the next roundabout ( Strandside Roundabout) take 3rd exit - Cairbre House is the 1st house on left 300m from roundabout.

If coming from from Dublin Airport: Take M50 Southbound & then N7 /M7/M9/N25 Route to Waterford/Dungarvan - directions as above.
Alternative Route: This route is slower, however it is more suitable if you wish to visit Wicklow Mtns National Park / Glendalough area : Take N11/M11/N30/ N25 to Waterford / Dungarvan. Other direction as above.

From Rosslare: Take Waterford / Cork N25 Route . Unless you wish to go into Waterford City, remain on N25 bypass via Toll Bridge ( Cars: €1.90   Motorbikes: €1). As you approach Dungarvan on N25 you will come to a roundabout remain on N25 - do not go into town centre at the next roundabout ( Strandside Roundabout) take 3rd exit - Cairbre House is the 1st house on left 300m from roundabout .

From Cork Direction: Take Waterford / Rosslare N25 Route As you approach Dungarvan on N25 you will come to a roundabout (Youghal Rd Roundabout) remain on N25 - do not go into town centre. Pass through a further 4 roundabouts, crossing over the Colligan River Bridge, after the bridge you will come to the Strandside Roundabout, take the first exit off the N25 -Cairbre House is the 1st house on left 300m from roundabout .

From Killarney / Lismore or Limerick / Clonmel Direction: As you approach Dungarvan on N72 / R672, follow signs to town centre. You will come to a roundabout( Kilrush Roundabout) Take first exit onto the N25( Waterford /Rosslare Route). Pass through a further 2 roundabouts, crossing over the Colligan River Bridge, after the bridge you will come to the Strandside Roundabout, take the first exit off the N25 -Cairbre House is the 1st house on left 300m from roundabout .

Rail: At Waterford and Cork.
Bus: Dungarvan, frequent services to Waterford, Cork and Dublin.
